He has M.Phil. and Ph.D. in science policy studies and has conducted research in diverse areas of science policy including energy and environment related issues. He specializes in science, technology and international affairs and is currently engaged in teaching analysis in science and technology policy and technology assessment and forecasting. V.V. Krishna is Professor at the Centre. He has a Ph.D. in Sociology of Science from the University of Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia. He has published 25 research papers and four books which include, Scientific Communities in the Developing Countries, New Delhi: Sage Publications 1997; Science, Technology in a Developing world: Kluwer Academic Publishers, 1997 and S.S. Bhatnagar on Science Technology and Development, 1938-54, New Delhi: Wiley Eastern Ltd., 1994. He is the founder-editor of Science, Technology & Society,an International Journal devoted to the S&T policy issues in the developing world, published through Sage Publications. He is a Council Member of the Society for Social Studies of Science (4S), USA and Member, International Council for Science Policy Studies, ICSU, UNESCO, Paris.

Ashok Parthasarathi is Professor at the centre. He has held several senior positions in the Government of India. He has published over 75 papears on issues of S&T policy, planning and management, prepared major reports on transfer of technology and technology policy for UNCTAD in Geneva and ESCAP in Bangkok. Rohan D'Souza is Assistant Professor at the Centre for Studies in Science Policy. He was awarded his PhD from the Centre for Historical Studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University. He has worked on the technology of hydraulic manipulation in the Indian subcontinent. His Publications and concern range from issu dealing with environmental history, the political economy of nature conservation and history of technology. He has held postdoctoral fellowships at Yale University, University of California (Berkeley) and was a Senior Research Associate at the Centre for World Environmental History, University of Sussex.

Saradindu Bhaduri is Assistant Professor in the Centre. Dr. Bhaduri holds a Ph.D in Economics fromt eh Centre for Studies in Diplomacy, International Law & Economics, Jawaharlal Nehru University. Prior to his joining this position, he was Lecturer at Vidyasagar University, West Bengal, Research Scientist at JNU and Research Associate at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. He has several peer reviewed national and international pubications to his credit in the areas of R&D, technology generation and development. He works on issues of Co-evolution, Innovation System, Globalization & WTO, Pharmaceutical Indistry and Health Care.

Nasir Tyabji is a Senior Fellow (Researach) at the centre. He was educated at the Institute of Science, Mumbai (Mathematics and Physics), New College, Oxford (Engineering Science and Economics), and Jawaharlal Nehru University (Ph.D) and Colonialism, Chemical Technology and Industry in Southern India, 1880-1937 was published by Oxford University Press in 1989 and 1995. The latest book entitled Industrialization and Innovation : 3 Lesson from India published by Sage Publications in 2000. His professional publications include articles in Indian Economic and Social History Review, Economic and Political Weekly, Social Scientist and Seminar.
