The Centre for Studies in Science Policy offers a programme leading to M.Phil./Ph.D. degree as also a direct Ph.D. programme. The coursework for the M.Phil./Ph.D. has been designed so as to serve a variety of purposes. It exposes students to the interactions between science, technology and soceity and at the same time seeks to develop an understanding of social and economics problems and there S&T policy implications. The following six courses are presently available for M.Phil./Ph.D. student.

1. Analysis in Science & Technology Policy 2. Science and Technology in Social Context 3. Growth of Modern Science and Technology in India 4. Research Methodology
Optional Courses (One Option from the following) 5. Technology Assessment and Forecasting 6. Management of Innovations and Technological Change 7. Dynamics of Technological Evolution in Indian Industry 8. Any other relevant course recommended by the Centre, from other Centres/School of the University.
Each course carries 3 credits and the dissertation 9 credits. The total credit requirement for the M.Phil. degree Programme is 24 credits.
Candidates seeking admission to M.Phil./Ph.D. programme in Science Policy Studies could consider pursuing research in areas/field such as:
